Assists refugee claimants and asylum seekers in completing forms and accessing legal services with the goal of empowering individuals to navigate the legal complexities of the refugee claim process effectively. Key services include legal counselling on the asylum process, Basis of Claim completion, IRCC portal support, lawyer search, hearing preparation and appeals, client advocacy and accompaniment, and referrals to other community supports. Provides guidance on legal proceedings and offers protection from immigration fraud and fosters positive relationships with government agencies and community services. Open to refugee claimants and asylum seekers currently residing in Canada; must be in the process of submitting a refugee claim or appealing a rejection. Hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
