Low Income Transit Ticket Assistance Program

In partnership with the Victoria Regional Transit Commission, administers a program to distribute free transit tickets and passes to low-income clients through social service agencies. Agencies purchase tickets and monthly Umo passes through the Community Social Planning Council at a 50 percent discount, and then distribute them for free to clients accessing their programs. See website for agency criteria for participation. Low-income clients who live in BC's Capital Region and who are seeking free tickets can contact one of the many participating agencies; do not contact this administrative office.
