McCurdy Place

Provides 49 units of recovery-based housing for individuals who need supports in order to stabilize their housing and improve their quality of life. Housing is prioritized for people who are either already on a path to recovery from substance use or are ready to make a change in their lives. One floor of the project is dedicated to specifically supporting young adults ages 17 to 24 years old. Services include two meals per day, health and wellness supports, life and employment skills training, opportunities for volunteer work, and referrals to community services. Staff are on site 24 hours daily. Staff include a mental health and substance use specialist, home support worker, youth housing worker, and recreation worker. Smoking is permitted. Pets are permitted on a case-by-case basis. Residents may work or study during their stay. Applications through BC Housing using the Supportive Housing Registration (SHR) Service form available online. Some units are wheelchair accessible. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by BC Housing.
