Mental Health Benefit

Provides Indigenous people with access to free counselling services from a qualified mental health provider. Eligible individuals are adult BC residents with a registered status number and/or their infants up to age two. Administers the Mental Wellness and Counselling (MWC) Benefit to First Nations in BC. Non-status individuals are eligible for some programs. Services not listed as a benefit may be covered on an exceptional basis; call for more information. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
