Mental Health Substance Use (MHSU) Bridging Care Program

Provides a short-term intensive day treatment for individuals ages 17 and over with acute and severe mental health challenges. Participants attend daily group sessions, participate in discussions and skills training, and receive one-on-one counselling to practice and reinforce skills that are relevant to their goals. Before discharge, participants have a plan in place to continue to support their wellness and goals, and may be connected to further supports in the community. Referral required from an Island Health clincian. Serves Campbell River, Courtenay, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Port Hardy, Port Mcneill, and Victoria. Wheelchair accessible. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
