Service Description

Canada's national centre that provides law enforcement, medical examiners and chief coroners with specialized investigative services in support of missing persons and unidentified remains investigations. Manages the national Missing Children/Persons and Unidentified Remains (MC/PUR) Database, which includes data on missing persons and unidentified remains investigations from across the country. Provides advice and case analysis to law enforcement partners. Maintains the national public website to provide information on selected cases to the public for the purpose of seeking tips on investigations. Provides enhanced specialized services to investigators such as the Travel Reunification Program, and Facial Approximation, analysis and access to the National Missing Persons DNA Program.
