Provides one-time grants of up to $2,000, as determined by the NESS Coordinator, to women and Two-Spirit, Trans, and gender-diverse people ages 16 and over who are fleeing intimate partner violence. Grants may be issued for moving, security deposit, pet deposit, utility deposit, internet set up costs, and/or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) fees associated with getting permanent resident status or citizenship. Required documents include a void cheque and documents to support expenses (receipts or rental agreements). Applications open on an annual basis; see website for updates.
