Neighbourhood Helpers Project - Chinese Outreach Project

Provides outreach to address the issue of isolation amongst Chinese adults ages 65 or older living in the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona areas. Also serves Chinese individuals 45 years and older who are affected by chronic health issues and/or face financial difficulties. Services volunteer door-to-door visits, weekly tea sessions, regular social and recreational activities, educational workshops, and language support and referrals. Services are available in Cantonese and Mandarin.
