Newcomer Employment Program (NEP)

Provides tailored support services for newcomers by adapting their current skills and knowledge to the Canadian work environment to increase their employability. Support services include pre-employment skills training, access to resources, and skill building and volunteer opportunities. Also offers career mentorship based on interests, needs, and professional background. Serves newcomers with permanent resident status including immigrants and refugees who are convention refugees and protected persons. Services are provided in English as well as Hindi, Korean, Punjabi, Spanish, and Tagalog. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
