Newcomer Family and Friend Caregiver Support Program

Supports newcomers who provide for a friend or family member who is age 55 or older. Provides information about the care system in Canada, educational workshops on caregiving topic and skill training workshops, and community kitchen sessions. Also offers ongoing emotional support, and support groups led by a clinical counsellor (available in English, Mandarin, and Punjabi). Funded as a Family and Friends Caregiver Support Program by United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program.
