North Shore Solutions Navigators

Service Description

Assists people on the North Shore who are living in poverty by providing support with issues ranging from housing, food, basic needs, and the barriers that may arise when navigating systems. Helps clients identify needs and goals, and assists them in accessing community resources and through supported referrals to existing services. Navigators assist in filling some of the gaps in service that may lead to clients' sense of isolation and/or inability for change and growth. Navigators provide active listening and encouragement, help with accessing community resources, follow-up to ensure clients are getting the help they need, assistance in planning and setting goals to meet client needs, and assistance with paperwork and applications. The program is free and open to clients coming to or residing on the North Shore. Clients can access the Navigators once or on an ongoing basis, in person, over video call, or over the phone. Program hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday, with meetings held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Funded by the Union of BC Municipalities.
