Northern Health Connections

Provides low-cost bus transportation to northern residents who are ages 60 and up, have mobility issues, or have medical appointments, needing to travel to another community in northern BC or to Vancouver. Individuals travelling to medical appointments, or needing to get home after travelling by ambulance to another community, or requiring companions to travel to appointments, or those with mobility challenges will receive priority space. Patients must have a valid BC CareCard and must not require medical care during travel. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult companion. Passengers can book a trip by phone or online; the deadline for reservations is 2 pm the day before travel. Call centre hours are 8 am to 5 pm daily. Regular routes are scheduled between Burns Lake and Terrace, Dawson Creek and Fort St John and Fort Nelson, McBride and Kamloops, and Prince George and Burns Lake, Fort St John, Mackenzie, Prince Rupert, Quesnel, Valemount, and Vancouver; see schedule for details. Residents of the Interior Health region or the Lower Mainland can also use the service to travel to medical appointments in another community along the route.
