Northwest Territories Crown Witness Coordinator (CWC) Services

Works directly with Crown Prosecutors, and, as a liaison, ensures that victims/witnesses have a clear understanding of the criminal justice system and their roles, rights, and responsibilities during the court process. Services include taking appropriate steps to enhance victim/witness knowledge and comfort, and providing support before, during, and after court. Also offers court orientation and accompaniment, information about case progression, information about the court's decision after the trial, and referral to community services. Counsel are responsible for prosecution of all criminal code and federal offences. Office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon to 1 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
