One-year, second-stage transitional program provides safe, supportive accommodations for women, with or without children, who have experienced family violence, abuse, or have recently left an abusive relationship. Each participant resides in her own private apartment and participates in group sessions, and weekly one-on-one meetings with program coordinator and women’s counselor. Welcomes women with children up to the age of 18. Program includes access to community resources and referrals to help support long-term stability and independence. Stay in a first-stage transition house is required prior to admission. Program staff are available Monday to Thursday, with 24-hour backup support nearby. Offers one wheelchair accessible unit. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Funded by BC Housing.
