Accessing Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) allows access to cannabis for medical purposes. Canadians who have been authorized by a health care practitioner to access cannabis for medical purposes may purchase safe, quality-controlled cannabis from a licensed producer, produce a limited amount of cannabis for their own medical purposes, or designate someone to produce it for them. Authorized healthcare professionals include nurse practitioners as well as physicians who are a member in good standing with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, hold a valid license in BC, and hold a valid narcotics class 1 license.
