Provides support to caregivers designated by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) who provide daily care for the children of extended family or friends. These living arrangements allow children to remain connected to the larger family network and avoid placement in foster care. A counsellor provides emotional support, assistance accessing resource information, and guidance and education regarding nurturing healthy relationships with family members and family court process. Referrals are from MCFD or self-referral. Funded by MCFD.
