Oversees parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities in Powell River. Indoor facilities include fitness centres; swimming pools; ice rinks; gymnasiums; multipurpose rooms; and art. Outdoor amenities include track and sports fields, tennis and pickleball courts, trails, playgrounds, beaches, disc golf courses, and skateboard bowl/parks. Operates the Powell River Recreation Complex, Dwight Hall, and the Evergreen Theatre. Offers a wide variety of recreational, social, and cultural programs, for all ages and abilities including children, youth, families, seniors, and people with disabilities. Offers financial assistance for recreation such as the Recreation Access Pass, Grade 5 Get Active Pass and Grade 6 Stay Active Pass. Recreation complex hours are 6 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 6:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays.​
