Patient Care Quality Office (PCQO)

Addresses complaints about patient care that have not been successfully resolved by contacting the service provider. The office formally registers the complaint, works with the patient/family to identify a reasonable resolution, and provides an explanation about any decisions and actions taken as a result of the complaint. Covers PHSA agencies and services including, BC Cancer, BC Centre for Disease Control Society, BC Children's Hospital, BC Emergency Health Services, BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, BC Provincial Renal Agency, BC Transplant, BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre, Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission, Cardiac Services BC, and Perinatal Services BC. If not satisfied with how the complaint was handled or the response received, patients can request that a PCQRB look into the matter; listed independently. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
