PEACE (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment) Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence - Oliver/Osoyoos
Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence. Helps children and youth to learn about the cycles of family violence and that they are not responsible for it, learn about healthy relationships, express their emotions in healthy ways, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and develop a safety plan. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. Serves Oliver and Osoyoos; book appointments through Oliver office for Osoyoos. Oliver office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday; program hours vary. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG) as a PEACE (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment) Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence.
