Pearl's Safe Home
Provides temporary emergency shelter for women (cisgender and transgender) and gender non-conforming individuals, with or without children, who are fleeing family violence or experiencing homelessness. Accommodation is in a separate unit with 2 beds to be occupied by one individual or members of the same family. Length of stay is 14 days. Personal identification (ID) is not required. Operates a 24-hour crisis line. Provides crisis support, safety planning, and assisted access to financial assistance, housing, employment, and legal aid. Pets may be accommodated depending on space available. Not wheelchair accessible. Serves the Sea to Sky corridor which includes Lions Bay, Mount Currie, Pemberton, Squamish, and the Skwxwú7mesh, Lil’wat, and Stl’átl’imx Nations. Funded by BC Housing.
