Peer Navigation Program

Service Description

Peer navigators provide support to people with shared experiences of living with HIV, addictions, and living in communities impacted by HIV. Volunteer navigators are trained to assist HIV-positive individuals who may be newly diagnosed, re-engaging with community services, or coping with multiple health issues. Services include appointment scheduling and reminders, assistance arranging transportation, and accompaniment to appointments. Also offers information about safe sex, harm reduction, HIV self-management techniques, self-advocacy skills, and community resources. Volunteer opportunities available.
