Project Respect

Delivers sexualized violence prevention education in schools and communities across Greater Victoria and South Vancouver Island. Supports youth, educators, and youth-serving professionals in identifying and intervening in the root causes of sexualized violence. Education programs support a cultural shift towards consent culture within schools and community through Healthy Relations and Consent workshops for students in grades 9 to 12; Safer Spaces and Holding Space workshops for adults on sexual violence prevention and sexual assault disclosure training; the Black and Indigenous Empowerment (B.I.E) youth leadership team who design and deliver culturally relevant workshops for racialized students and their educators; a dating violence prevention workshop for racialized students; and a capacity building workshop for educators on creating safer spaces for racialized students.
