Provincial Eating Disorders Program

Provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, specialized program to assess and treat children and youth ages eight to 18 with eating disorders, and supports families and caregivers. Program integrates medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and other aspects of care through intensive inpatient, day treatment, and/or outpatient services. Also offers the Looking Glass Residence, a live-in treatment program for youth aged 16 to 24, in partnership with the Provincial Health Services Authority (see separate listing). Medical referral required from community eating disorders programs or child and youth mental health teams; referrals from family doctors or nurse practitioners accepted for children and youth living in regions with no local mental health services. Serves BC and Yukon. Day treatment hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, and outpatient hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
