Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD)

Provides consultation, training, and support services to BC school districts regarding students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD); focus is on increasing the capacity of school district staff to support students with ASD. Services include student-specific as well as class-wide/program consultations for school teams and parents, assessments, and in-person and virtual training and education. Also offers a family-school liaison service for families, which provides short term one-to-one support, workshops, assistance linking to services, information, and information on autism-related events and training opportunities.
