Public Health
Provides public health nursing services. Prenatal and Early Years services include prenatal nutrition and lifestyle information; education and information on pregnancy and childbirth; postpartum support, including physical and emotional well-being for mothers and babies; breastfeeding assessment and support; and child health clinics and immunizations. School-age Health services include immunization, health promotion, and nutrition education, as well as vision, hearing, speech, and dental screening. Services are coordinated through local school districts; no referral is required. Offices located in Atlin, Burns Lake, Chetwynd, Daajing Giids, Dawson Creek, Dease Lake, Fort Nelson, Fort St James, Fort St John, Fraser Lake, Granisle, Hazelton, Houston, Hudson's Hope, Kitimat, Mackenzie, Masset, McBride, Prince Goerge, Prince Rupert, Quesnel, Smithers, Stewart, Terrace, Tumbler Ridge, Valemount, and Vanderhoof. Office hours vary.
