Promotes the healthy development of Aboriginal children ages three to five and their families. Supports the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of children, and supports their parents or caregivers as their primary teachers. Provides structured half-day preschool experiences, including Aboriginal culture and language, education and school readiness, health promotion, nutrition, social support, and parental involvement. Offers two half-day sessions four days a week September through June. Funded as an Aboriginal Head Start in Urban and Northern Communities (AHSUNC) program by Health Canada.
