Rice Block Support Recovery Housing for Women

Women-only pre-and post-stabilization housing program for women who are seeking support to reduce and or stop their problematic use of substances. There are 10 beds available for women who have completed detox and are waiting for a bed in treatment. Referrals for these beds are accepted primarily from detox and treatment centres, and may be vetted through Vancouver Coastal Health's central addiction intake (CAIT) system. There are also 28 beds available for women who have completed treatment and are waiting to find safe, affordable, long-term housing. These beds are self-referral only; women must call for a phone intake, then check in regularly to maintain their place on the waitlist. 3 beds are operated under contract with Correctional Services Canada (CSC). Includes a 16 Steps for Discovery and Empowerment program. Other services include accompaniment, activity groups, advocacy, emotional support, group support, and information and referral. Not wheelchair accessible.
