SAFE Community Clinical Counselling

Provides free clinical counselling for children and youth ages six to 19, and their families, who are at risk of being recruited into gangs and are displaying risk factors. Focus is on South Asian, Arabic, and other diverse communities. Counsellors work one-on-one with youth, as well as in groups with youth and their parents or caregivers, to increase confidence, self-esteem, and connections to family, culture, and community. Services include risk assessment, case management, and consultation. Referral accepted from self or other. Delivered in partnership with SFU Faculty of Education's Counselling Program.
