Sas Natsadle Aboriginal Head Start

Promotes the healthy development of Aboriginal children ages three to five and their families in Fort St John. Supports the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of children, and supports their parents or caregivers as their primary teachers. Provides structured half-day preschool experiences, including Aboriginal culture and language, education and school readiness, health promotion, nutrition, social support, and parental involvement. Provides a bus service to and from the program. Program hours are 9 am to 11:30 am or 1 pm to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Also offers a Kindergarten Readiness Program for four weeks in the summer, from 10 am to 2 pm Monday to Thursday. Program not available to the general public. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9 am to 5 pm Fridays. Funded by Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
