Trained lay senior counsellors provide emotional support to alleviate loneliness and isolation of individuals ages 55 and older. Counselling may take place in the agency office, at a client's home, or in the community. No fees are charged; services are by donation. Office hours are 10 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday; counselling sessions occur outside of regular hours depending on availability. Funded in part by Island Health.
