Also helps seniors stay connected, navigate resources, and access community and government services, including assistance with forms. Better at Home program assists seniors ages 65 and older who are in general good health, but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their community. Services include friendly visiting, light housekeeping, and transportation to medical appointments, recreational community events, and grocery shopping. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income. Therapeutic Activation Programs for Seniors (TAPS) offers therapeutic physical and recreational activities, learning opportunities, social interaction, and nutritious lunches. Serves Terrace and Thornhill. Hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
