Serenity House

Second-stage transition house offers supportive, cooperative housing for immigrant women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women) with or without children who have been impacted by violence or abuse and have passed through the initial crisis stage; accepts male children up to age 12. Open referral but women coming from a first-stage transition house have priority admission, as well as South Asian women. Offers emotional support, court accompaniment, information and referral, and advocacy. Service is offered in various languages including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Stay is from six to 18 months. Identification is required for women to access the house. No pets allowed. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
