Service Description

Provides one-on-one settlement and employment services to permanent residents, new immigrants, and refugees, temporary foreign workers, naturalized Canadian citizens seeking employment, provincial nominees awaiting permanent residency, post-secondary international students, refugee claimants including: information and orientation, permanent resident card renewal, citizenship applications, career planning, BC housing applications, rental assistance, benefits applications, and medical applications. Offers workshops, informal English conversation practice, and opportunities to build social connections and leadership skills. Services are available in English, Arabic, Azeri, Cantonese, Dari, Farsi, Mandarin, Spanish, and Turkish. Hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Saturday by appointment. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and by Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation as a BC Settlement and Integration Services (BC SIS) program.
