Settlement Services - Surrey
Program serves refugee claimants, temporary foreign workers, post-secondary international students, work permit holders, provincial nominees who are not yet permanent residents, and recently naturalized citizens who continue to be dependent on settlement support; there may be eligibility restrictions for some services. An initial assessment identifies needs, as well as clients' assets and capacities. With a settlement worker, participants develop an individual action plan that reflects their goals and preferences, and includes the information and services they require. For participants experiencing multiple barriers in their settlement and adaptation transition, a guided pathways approach includes case management, a comprehensive assessment, and a facilitated individualized settlement and integration plan. Offers one-to-one support for migrant workers and LGBTQ+ newcomers. Services offered in Arabic, Cantonese, Dari, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Pashto, Punjabi, Spanish, and Ukrainian. To request services, complete Settlement Intake Form found online. Services by appointment. Hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm.
