Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) - North Shore

Offers a free specialized assessment and therapeutic treatment to children and youth ages two to 19 who have been sexually abused and/or assaulted. Counsellors practice child-centred play therapy, expressive arts therapy, sandplay, and cognitive therapy, along with integrating psychoeducation regarding topics specific to survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Time-limited counselling is also provided for parents and siblings who are coping with their own issues as a result of the abuse. Length of service is based on specific needs and issues presented. Accepts self-referrals. Serves the North Shore (Bowen Island, Lions Bay, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver).
