Sexual Assault Services (SAS) - South Okanagan

Provides free trauma-informed and culturally safe support to adult, youth and childhood victims of a sexual assault and/or sexual abuse. Services include emotional support and counselling, advocacy, safety and wellness planning, accompaniment to medical and/or criminal justice system services, information about the criminal justice system and court process, and information and referral to other agencies and services. Also offers third party reporting for victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim, who remains anonymous. Serves Cawston, Hedley, Kaleden, Keremeos, Marron Valley, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, Peachland, Penticton, Princeton and Summerland. For after-hours emergency support services, call the 24-hour SOWINS Crisis Line at 1-800-814-2033, or request the hospital, police or other emergency services contact the program on the client\'s behalf.
