Offers weekly facilitated support groups for pregnant and first-time mothers who are parenting alone with a child/children under age two. In a safe and comfortable environment, mothers meet to exchange information and resources, support each other, and build networks. Family resource workers provide employment and education resources, parenting resources, legal/financial information and referrals, resources for women who have experienced abuse, and form completion assistance. Childcare is available. In person group locations are Abbotsford, Burnaby, Langley, Maple Ridge, Richmond, Surrey, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver; see website for details. Also offers online facilitated support groups for single mothers residing in Fraser Valley, single mothers residing in Metro Vancouver, single Ukrainian mothers residing in Metro Vancouver, and single mothers of children with special needs residing in Metro Vancouver or the Fraser Valley.
