Service Description

The Trauma Counselling Program for Women provides free individual and group counselling for women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse/neglect, sexual assault, and/or intimate partner violence. Service is available at a number of community spaces; by appointment only. Short-term crisis counselling is offered for women who have experienced intimate partner violence and are in imminent danger or have experienced a sexual assault. Short-term counselling is offered for women who have experienced historical abuse/interpersonal violence/trauma in the past. Group counselling sessions are offered throughout the year. Serves Cloverdale, Newton, South Surrey, White Rock, and surrounding areas. Funded as a Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG). Also provides fee-for-service Trauma Counselling in a wide range of counselling modalities for people of any gender who have experienced sexual abuse/neglect, physical abuse, or intimate partner violence; services include Crime Victim's Assistance, ICBC, and First Nations Health Authority counselling and support to anyone impacted by these issues. Office hours are 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.
