Specialized Victim Assistance Program

Provides services to male and female adults, youth, and children who have been victims of family violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse (recent or historical), and stalking. Services include emotional support, safety planning, form completion assistance, court preparation and accompaniment, accompaniment to police or hospital, information and referral, and help with criminal injuries. Hospital- or community-based emergency Sexual Assault Services available to anyone ages 13 and up. Serves North Okanagan. Also offers third party reporting to adult victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
