Specialized Victim Assistance Program (SVAP) - Chilliwack

Provides criminal justice related services to victims of power-based crimes including family violence, sexual violence, criminal harassment, child abuse, and child witnesses of family or sexual violence. Services include emotional support, practical assistance, justice system information and court accompaniment, safety planning, referrals to counselling and community supports, as well as assistance in completing Victim Impact Statements and Crime Victim Assistance Program forms. Offers third party reporting to victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Those eligible for support must reside in Chilliwack or the offense must have occurred in Chilliwack. Fill in the online form to receive a call back from a support worker. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
