Spikes on Bikes

Community members with lived experience of drug misuse cycle around the Downtown Eastside, Gastown, and the West End in Vancouver on specially equipped bicycles to respond to drug overdoses. Also distribute Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) that can be used to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses; train people in their use; dispose of needles; and distribute clean needles and other harm reduction equipment. Operated in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and the City of Vancouver. Hours are 8 am to 8 pm daily in the Downtown Eastside and 8 am to 2 pm Monday to Saturday in the West End.
