Provides mental health crisis intervention services for children and teens ages six to 18 who are experiencing rapid onset or change (in the past two to four weeks) of mental health and substance use symptoms resulting in the child/teen being unable to participate in their typical daily activities or relationships. Mental health crisis may include self-harming, suicidal thoughts or attempts, intense anxiety or depression, distorted thinking, or high risk of significantly harming others. Services include education and support to caregivers; mental health, substance use, and safety assessment; brief treatment and/or further assessment by a psychiatrist; resource and referral coordination; family support; and consultation for service providers. Referrals accepted from self or others, including youth, families, schools, and service providers. Serves Abbotsford, Agassiz, Boston Bar, Chilliwack, Hope, Mission, and surrounding communities. Hours are 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, and 12 noon to 9 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays.
