Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program - Creston Valley

Offers free, confidential individual and group counselling to female survivors of family violence, sexual assault, or historical abuse of any kind. Services include safety planning, self-determination development, awareness of abuse cycles, and strategies to take back life and build empowerment. Participant-centered services help women work towards resolving the effects of abuse, including self-esteem confidence, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress, boundaries, coping skills, and overall health. Serves communities from Yahk north to Riondel, including Creston, Wynndel, Kuskonook, Boswell, and Kootenay Bay. Open referral. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
