Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program - Langley

Offers free counselling to female survivors of family violence, sexual assault, or historical abuse of any kind. Short-term/crisis counselling focuses on safety planning and emotional stabilization for women still living with an abusive partner or who may have been recently assaulted. Long-term individual counselling (up to 24 session) focuses on providing information to women about abuse/violence and helping them to regain a sense of safety and control in their lives; there is a waitlist for long-term counselling. Also offers various psycho-educational groups throughout the year. Serves residents of Aldergrove, Cloverdale, Langley, and Fort Langley. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday; counselling appointments can also be made for late afternoon and early evenings. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
