Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program - Surrey

Offers free individual and group-based counselling to self-identified women who have experienced family violence, sexual assault or historical abuse or are at risk of abuse. Also offers support, outreach, and advocacy. Serves women who are 19 years of age or older, or women under 19 who are living an adult life. Stopping the Violence Multicultural Outreach (offered out of 7330 137 Street in Surrey) provides culturally informed, confidential one-on-one practical supports, accompaniment, and referral to community resources for self-identified women who have experienced intimate partner violence. Culturally appropriate services are available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Serves Delta, Surrey, White Rock and surrounding areas. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Mondays and Fridays, and 8:30 am to 7 pm Tuesday to Thursday. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
