Supportive Housing
Provides housing and person-centered community and living skills support for people facing diverse barriers and challenges, including at risk of or experiencing homelessness, Indigenous background, equity-denied populations, older adults, dementia or acquired brain injury, and individuals living with disabilities or mental health challenges, and people with low-to-moderate income. Supportive housing includes meals, opportunities for recreational and social activities, and individualized supports based on self-identified needs and goals. Housing may be temporary or permanent. Applicants must submit a completed supportive housing registry form to BC Housing. The application can be found online at https://www.bchousing.org/publications/Supportive-Housing-Registry-Application-Form.pdf or at a local BC Housing branch. Units vary depending on the building, with some being temporary and others permanent, some being subsidized, and some being wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing. Buildings operate in Dawson Creek, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Prince George, Surrey, and Vancouver.
