Surrey Welcome Hub - Permanent Shelter
Provides year-round 24-hour, 16-bed emergency shelter serving adults ages 19 and older. Guests have access to three meals a day, showers, harm reduction supplies, and overdose prevention services. Space for two bags per guest. Wheelchair accessible. Bicycle storage available. One pet is allowed in the shelter at a time. Also caseworkers can support individuals to apply for ID or apply for income assistance, and can facilitate access to computer with webcam for important meetings. Case workers available between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Intake for shelter is at 10 am and 10 pm daily; a bed lottery is held if space is available. Also acts as an extreme weather response (EWR) shelter when weather is extreme from October to April with 16 additional beds.
