A program for residents of Metro Vancouver who have a HandyCard (a photo identity card issued by TransLink). A person is eligible for HandyCard if they have a permanent physical, sensory, or cognitive disability that prevents the use of regular public transit without assistance. Call the office to obtain a HandyCard application. A book of TaxiSaver coupons with a total face value of $50 will be sold to a HandyCard holder for $25; two books of TaxiSavers may be purchased each month. TaxiSavers may be used to supplement taxi fare if the HandyDart shuttle service (listed separately) is not available for a requested trip or if preferred. Customers may call participating taxi companies and book service directly. Translink serves Metro Vancouver communities only.
