Teen Mind Medicine/Youth Mind Medicine

A free, early intervention program for Indigenous teens and young adults experiencing stress and anxiety. Participants learn evidence-based strategies of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion. Teen Mind Medicine group is for adolescents ages 13 to 18 and Youth Mind Medicine group is for young adults ages 18 to 30. Program is facilitated in person or online by mental health professionals in a culturally responsive way and delivered by Indigenous-serving organizations across BC in partnership with YMCA. Accepts self-referrals; no diagnosis of anxiety is required. Funded by the Province of BC.
