The CORE (Community Outpatient Recovery Experience)
Provides a free 12-week (four to six hours per week) community-based substance recovery program for adults ages 19 and older living in Vancouver or Richmond. Services include assessment, individual and group counselling, psychoeducational groups, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), relapse preention, life skills training, mindfulness/meditation groups, and acupuncture and other alternate therapies. Accepts clients on methadone maintenance who are withdrawing from other drugs. Staffed by a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive care team. Intake is through Access Central (hours are 9 am to 9 pm daily) or walk-in to the Robert and Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre during business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday).
